You can pay at the parking meter with 10 ct, 20 ct, 50 ct, 1 Eur, and 2 Eur coins. How to pay with coins:

Activate the parking meter screen.
Enter the car’s license plate number.
Make the payment for the estimated parking time.

If a ticket is needed, you can print it according to the instructions displayed on the parking meter screen.

At some parking meters, you can pay with a contactless payment card. How to pay with a contactless card:

How can I pay for parking in Trakai city zones?

Parking can be paid for via the UNIPARK mobile app, by SMS, at a parking meter, or based on an actual parking contract with UNIPARK.

How much time do I have to pay the parking fee?

The driver of a vehicle parked in a paid parking space must pay the specified local fee within 10 minutes either:

At a ticket machine using cash,
By SMS (text message: U Start XX UNP000, where XX is the first two letters of the city and zone, and UNP000 is the vehicle’s license plate number, sent to short number 1332),
Or by using mobile applications.

When the paid parking time expires (when paying at a ticket machine), the local fee must be paid again without delay, but no later than within 10 minutes after the end of the paid time, or the vehicle must be removed from the paid parking area.

The additional payment ticket must be left inside the car on the dashboard, on the passenger side, in a clearly visible spot from outside, so that the printed date and time are legible.

The driver must prepare in advance with a means of payment (coins or a mobile phone).

Lack of a payment method does not exempt the driver from the obligation to pay the local fee as required by traffic signs.

Is parking in Trakai free for electric vehicles?

Parking is free and unlimited in all zones for electric vehicles registered in the Republic of Lithuania with special license plates that include the letters EV or EA, or for those with a certificate issued by Regitra confirming the vehicle meets electric vehicle standards.

This exemption does not apply to hybrid vehicles.

Is it possible to reserve a parking space in advance?

Parking spaces can be reserved for companies, institutions, organizations, state budgetary institutions, the Trakai district municipality administration, and local wards in front of their official premises.

Based on demand, this right may be denied or revoked, and the validity period of reserved spaces can be limited.

Monthly rates for reserved parking spaces:

Blue zone – €80/month
Red zone – €60/month
Yellow zone – €40/month

How to apply for a residential permit?

A resident permit for parking in paid parking spaces is issued by the municipality-controlled company UAB “Trakų paslaugos” to the vehicle owner/driver who submits the following at the administration office or via email at info@trakupaslaugos.lt:

A completed application form
Personal identity document
Proof of residence (document showing registered address in a designated building list)
Vehicle registration certificate

The resident permit is issued to one person and one vehicle only, which must be registered in the resident’s name.

I didn’t pay for parking – what happens next?

If you fail to pay for parking as required, regardless of the amount of time parked, you may pay a fixed fee within 72 hours:

€21 for the blue zone
€18 for the red zone
€15 for the yellow zone

Payments should be made to the recipient: UAB “Trakų paslaugos”.
